Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA)
The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) is a non-profit organization promoting growth and success of the aerospace industry in the Northwest region of the United States. It includes companies located around the main plant of Boeing in Seattle from US States of Washington, Oregon and Idaho as well as British Columbia in Canada.
Since 2009 Niedersachsen Aviation attends intense cooperational relationships in the Northwest of the US, the biggest aerospace cluster worldwide with 132,500 employees and 1,350 companies. Over a 100 of them are organized within the PNAA.
In the course of the Paris Air Show 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding between Washington State and Niedersachsen was signed.
The goal of this cooperation is the close collaboration between the partners on both sides of the Atlantic. The key sectors are:
- Labour force and qualification
- cooperation between medium-size suppliers
- exchange to current market developments
The PNAA conducts an annual conference with exchange opportunities for suppliers, OEMs and experts in newest trends and developments within the aerospace industry. These PNAA-Conferences concentrate especially on the direct link of OEMs and suppliers in order to enable new business opportunities on both sides. The so-called 'Speed Meetings' give companies the interesting opportunity to present themselves to the representatives of the OEMs and 1st suppliers and thereby establish first contacts. Niedersachsen Aviation is represented at the PNAA-Conference with a shared stand.
