Baltic TRAM (Transnational Research Access in the Macroregion) is an international project that seeks to strengthen the relationship between analytical research institutions and business.
The overall objective is to boost innovation, secure the implementation of smart specialization strategies, and encourage entrepreneurship by supporting small and medium size enterprises – thus contributing to the regional effort of making the Baltic Sea Region innovative, sustainable and competitive.
Baltic TRAM is led by DESY, Deutsches Elektronen- Synchrotron, in dialogue with 14 project partners and 5 associated organisations from across the Baltic Sea Region. The project is partly funded by the European Union.
What does Baltic TRAM offer?

- Free measurements of material samples on micro-, nano- or molecular scale.
Combined, these services will take your knowledge of your materials’ properties to a completely new level and help improve your product portfolio or in-house manufacturing processes.

Companies based in EU member states are eligible to apply.
How do I apply?
Contact your national or local Industrial Research Center (IReC) for consultations. The IReCs are business-support units that can help you throughout the entire application process – from formulating a product or process challenge to designing follow-up activities that support you in applying the knowledge gained in your product or manufacturing processes.
